Delft City Center
The center of Delft is an ideal place to live. A village within the city, calm and friendly. Everything you’re looking for is within walking distance: a theater, movie theater, plenty of restaurants, bars, and cozy terraces. For your daily grocery shopping Delft offers a variety of specialty stores, as well as several supermarkets.
Due to its many characteristic canals and monumental buildings, the historical city center is a cityscape protected by the Dutch government, with all buildings in that area being a part of that. If you’re looking for something outdoors and outside of the city, a short walk will take you to either “De Delftse Hout” or “De Delftse Schie”, offering an enjoyable stroll in the park, or a way to enjoy the water.
The Delft train station and the tramlines 1 and 19 are reachable within walking distance.
For parking there’s an opportunity to get a parking permit from the Delft municipality. The first parking permit costs €200, – per year, with a visitor pass costing €38,20 for the first 200 hours, up to a maximum of 600 hours per year. There’s also a possibility for the residents to park in the “Marktgarage” for a reduced rate.
